Admission Requirements

– Prospective students must be graduate of a secondary school or equivalent qualification awarded by the candidate’s government organization. (Foreigners or overseas Koreans who have a high school diploma or its equivalent)

Required Documents

– Dongguk University’s application form and letter of self-introduction in Korean or English.

Please submit the documents (photocopies) below via EMS if you are from a visa waivered country:
1. Application form and letter of self-introduction in Korean or English.

2. A photocopy of passport
3. Certificate of graduation (or enrollment) and a transcript (original copy or notarized documents)
4. A bank statement showing a balance over 3,000 USD (must be deposited for more than 3 months after the first day of the class)

Please submit the documents (photocopies) below via EMS to our office if you are from a non–visa waivered country:
1. Application form and letter of self-introduction in Korean or English. ( and are attached)
2. Three color photos (3cm x 4cm)
3. A photocopy of passport.
4. A photocopy of family ID cards.
5. A notarized certificate of family relationship and family register of parents (original copy or notarized documents).
6. Certificate of graduation (or enrollment) and a transcript (original copy or notarized documents)
7. APOSTILLE or Certificate of the diploma from Korean Consulate in your country (original copy or notarized documents).
8. A bank statement showing a balance over 9,000 USD (must be deposited for longer than 6months after the first day of the class).
9. Individual applicant must have a Korean guarantor- Attachment file, guarantor’s certificate of income and employment.

-Curriculum of each semester consists of 10 weeks. Classes of intermediate and advanced level are from 09:00~13:00, and the beginner are from 13:00~17:00
-Classes run five days a week including 1 cultural activity program
